(GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass., July 23, 2008) -- The Vault Gallery has
announced the installation of Lady Macbeth, by Marilyn Kalish, in the new
Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre at Shakespeare and Company in Lenox,

Massachusetts. It is a painting that award-winning actress Annette Miller
describes: “The movement in this piece captures Lady Macbeth’s energy,
determination, and power. It is as if she is asking the gods for forgiveness and
pity. One hand seems to beckon for forgiveness, while the other has just done
the deed. She seems to ask for strength and at the same time rejoicing for
what she has done. There is so much to talk about the piece the more I look
at it.”
More paintings by Marilyn Kalish can be viewed at the Vault Gallery. Vault
Gallery features contemporary art including paintings, photography, film and
sculpture. Vault Gallery is located in the historic Mahaiwe building on the
corner of Main and Castle Street at 322 Main Street, Great Barrington, Mass.
